Calendar Raffle
Sacred Hearts School has one sales fundraising obligation for each family every year. Each October through December families sell calendar raffle tickets. Each raffle ticket comes attached to a beautiful school calendar which has all the national and liturgical holidays, as well as special school dates. Each day of the year has a cash prize of between $25 and $300, with two chances to win every Wednesday.
For those families who are not comfortable with selling their 10 raffle tickets, there is an opt-out to give a $250 tax-deductible donation or order five and donated the remaining $125 for their obligation. For those families who whose only school-aged child is in the 4K program, they can, but are not obligated to participate.
The school profits between $40,000-$50,000 from the raffle sales. Proceeds help to offset the gap of what we charge in tuition and the actual cost of educating each student. Because of the calendar raffle, the school can keep tuition increases to a minimum.
